My goal in making art is to express something deeper than surface meaning for the viewer to consider. My subject matter has evolved over the years, but the tension between outward appearances and subconscious influences as a psychological theme has maintained an interest for me. Figural relationships and figures overlapping lines demarking disparate spaces as well as both static and active elements in a single composition serve to express this tension.
