Mira Burack Selected for Women to Watch 2020

We are excited and pleased to announce that Mira Burack has just been selected to represent the New Mexico Committee upcoming major national exhibition, Paper Routes—Women to Watch 2020 at  in the National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA).

This is a significant win for women artists in New Mexico, that will focus public attention on Mira's work in the only museum in the United States dedicated solely to women artists. The exhibition will be on view at the museum from June 26 until September 7, 2020.

The other New Mexico nominees were Alison KeoghKatya RekaKate Rivers, and Catalina Delgado Trunk, each of whom were nominated for Women to Watch 2020 due to their outstanding contributions to the arts in New Mexico. Congratulations, and our thanks, go to each of the nominees this year.  The New Mexico State Committee worked with curator Laura Addison from the Museum of International Folk Art in Santa Fe to nominate these five talented artists for WTW2020.

Women to Watch 2020 (WTW2020) is the sixth installment of the exhibition series at the National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA) that features emerging or underrepresented artists from the states and countries where the museum has outreach committees. It will be presented at the Museum from mid-June through mid-September of 2020.
