About Our Scholarships

“It makes it much more of an honor considering I'm the first generation in my family to receive a degree and attend university. I am truly grateful for this opportunity you have given me. Thank you for your wonderful support.”

Jasmin Vargas, 2016-2017, NMSU

We established our scholarship fund to support emerging female artists from all across New Mexico. There are many young women in our state who have the talent, dedication, and desire to achieve their dreams, but lack the financial means to make it happen. Our goal in creating this scholarship fund is to partner with you, the New Mexico Women in the Arts community of supporters, to provide a helping hand to these young women in the form of financial aid.

Each year, a deserving female student majoring in the arts is selected from each of these schools:

  • Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) in Santa Fe

  • University of New Mexico (UNM) in Albuquerque

  • New for 2018-2019: New Mexico Highlands University (NMHU) in Las Vegas

  • New Mexico State University (NMSU) in Las Cruces

Donate today to our scholarship program!

“I will forever be grateful for your generous donation, for it is assisting me in going toward the right path into a successful future.”

Santana Lopez, 2016-2017, NNMC
